I was born and raised in Oshawa, ON Canada. At age 16, I started working in a local home-building store – long before The Home Depot and Lowe’s dominated that industry. Near the end of high school, I joined an inventory service as part of the counting crew. I glimpsed my future husband through the stockroom shelves of a Canadian Tire store. After I earned a four year degree in Sociology, we married. I have worked full time since 1995. My career took us from Oshawa to Marlborough MA and we are now settled in Atlanta, GA.
Together, Pat and I nurture a love that includes each other, fitness, and travel. Visiting locales, enjoying experiences, and making memories is now the way we want to live. 9-5 really gets in the way. I hatched a plan to get us both out of the proverbial “rat race.”
One of my top skills is written communication. It was a key to my marketing/sales career. Recently, I asked myself “Could writing be the key to a future in which I decide when and where I earn income?” This blog is a vehicle through which I am transforming myself from an email-crafter into a story-teller.
